Solvent-free CurilTM T2 can be reshaped repeatedly, i.e. it is permanently plastic, as no hardening occurs. This gives it an immediate sealing effect after fitting, with no waiting or airing time. Dismantling is easy as the old sealant can simply be removed from the application surface. It is ideally suited for:
• Surface sealing, e.g. flange connections or covers that have to be opened and resealed frequently due to maintenance intervals
• All plastic surfaces, including PE, PP, PTFE, as well as materials that release plasticizers, e.g. EPDM, APTK, neoprene, butyl, insulating coats and foams
Provided the maximum sealing gap and the maximum temperature range are observed, Curil™ T2 is a genuine universal sealant.
Different requirements call for versatile options
Our 70 ml tube is available with an application nozzle.
Application from our CurilTM T2 ProfiPress 200 ml compressed gas cartridge is convenient - simply press the metal bar. Clean and effortless reuse is guaranteed as CurilTM T2 does not harden in the nozzle. For application to larger areas, we recommend our Curil™ T2 500 ml tin. The sealant can be applied to the sealing surface using a brush or a foam roller, for example.
Tips for perfect sealing:
• Clean and degrease the surface
• Apply evenly and with no gaps
• Spread with a brush or foam roller
• Apply a sealant coat at least 0.2 mm thick
• Remove excess sealant with a cloth after fitting
Curil T2 is a universal sealant, offers outstanding adhesion on all surface materials and has a wide range in terms of thermal and chemical resistance. Curil T2 seals immediately without flash-off time, remains permanently plastic without hardening and can be removed again easily after disassembly. This makes Curil T2 particularly suited for challenging sealing connections and applications for surface sealing of flanges and covers, for example, which have to be opened, cleaned and sealed again frequently due to maintenance intervals. Further properties of Curil T2 can be found in the technical data sheet.
No. Although Curil T2 contains no ingredients that are harmful to health, it is currently not certified for use in food areas.
Curil T2 is solvent-free and is therefore neither a hazardous substance nor dangerous goods. Curil T2 also has a higher gap filling capacity, remains permanently plastic without setting and requires no flash-off time. Other properties can be found in the technical data sheet.
Yes. Curil T2 has replaced the previous Curil T and Curil K2.

First remove residues of old sealant with a cloth and ideally with isopropyl (isopropyl alcohol) or brake cleaner.
For Curil T2, there is no wait time until a functional seal is formed. Following application on the sealing area and installation in the application, Curil T2 seals immediately.
Yes, the fuel resistance of Curil T2 applies to both diesel and petrol.
No. Curil T2 is resistant to mineral oils (including additives), synthetic oils, lubricating grease, coolants, cold and hot water, salt water, cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalis and fuels.
Curil T2 is resistant to mineral oils (including additives), synthetic oils, lubricating grease, coolants, cold and hot water, salt water, cleaning agents, weak acids and alkalis and fuels. Details of other material resistances can be found in our Curil T2 resistance list.
No. Curil T2 is not subject to registration obligations (REACH, SCIP) in the sense of listed substances of concern (SVHC) of the European institution ECHA.
No, Curil T2 does not cure and remains permanently plastic. This property is ideal for surface sealing of flanges and covers, for example, which have to be opened, cleaned and sealed again frequently due to maintenance intervals. Further properties of Curil T2 can be found in the technical data sheet.
Details on the shelf life in unopened state are found in the technical data sheet. The direct product packaging contains the date of bottling in the form of a numerical code with the coding YYWWBBBB (year, week, batch number).
Curil T2 ProfiPress is a 200 ml compressed gas cartridge with nozzle. The compressed gas and the adjustable opening mechanism enable an extremely even sealing bead to be applied on the surface. It is even possible to apply the sealant "over head", e.g. in an installation pit, with Curil T2 ProfiPress. Other technical properties can be found in the technical data sheet.
